Why is that server's disk full?
Every now and then you find out that some server's disk is full. Now what? You want some programm that will show you visually where most of the disk space is spent in your filesystem.
filelight
Is a GUI app and full of bugs wrt to disk scanning and these are not getting fixed:
scanning a remote server is possible, however exclude patterns do not seem to apply
filelight is following symlinks. I had a filesystem that had:
/usr/bin/X11 -> /usr/binwhich is evidently recursive and filelight is unable to handle that (overflow)
it's very slow when scanning remote machines

it doesn't seem to be possible to exclude directories or files
